Chongqing Environment & Sanitation Holding Group (CQ ESHG), solely funded by the Chongqing Municipal Government in December 2002 is a large state-owned enterprise with registered capital of RMB 100 million (about £ 6.6 million).

The main businesses of CQ ESHG cover domestic waste disposal and transportation, construction of environmental facilities, operation management, R&D in environmental technologies and constancy, sales of relevant product and environment engineering construction.

CQ ESHG has completed the construction of Cheng Shengqiao Landfill Site, Hei Shizi Waste Disposal Site and Long Toushi Waste Disposal Site. Some other projects are involved in the upgrading of the waste-carrying system public toilet for the urban area as well as the left-over disposal from the restaurants in the urban city. CQ ESHG is a leading company in the project construction and highly-recognized by CQ Municipal Government. It was also rewarded for its outstanding management in solid waste treatment by State Environment Protection Administration, with quality approval to ISO 9000 and 14000.

CQ ESHG now start work on the treatment and recycling of waste industrial electrical goods, family and office used electrical equipment. It includes waste electrical white goods (TV sets, washing machines and refrigerators and etc), ICT and long-distance communication equipment (computers, copy machines, fax machines and mobiles), waste clinical devices, monitoring & control devices and automatic dispensers. CQ ESHG show interests in the international co-operation on the particular sector as China now has no competence.
