The East Midlands China Business Bureau invites East Midlands’ businesses to join our market visit to Sichuan and Chongqing in Southwest China between 7th – 11th April. Leading China’s ‘Go West’ strategy with a combined population of 118 million, this region offers huge business opportunities and has strong links with the East Midlands.
Programme:

Support package:
- Market visit subvention of £750 per company to eligible companies
- Briefing meeting at British Consulate-General Chongqing.
- Pre-mission briefing to become familiar with Chinese business culture, etiquette and negotiation tips.
- Support throughout the visit from our China Business Advisors
- Assistance in obtaining official invitation letter and advice on Visa, Hotel booking, Translation, booking flights etc
Eligibility:
To qualify for the support package your business needs to be located in the East Midlands region, be new to this market, employ less than 250 people or be a higher education or FE college. Larger businesses can also participate but are not eligible for the support package. Companies are required to commission an Overseas Market Introductory Service (OMIS) of at least £450 which will help them arrange business meetings in Sichuan and Chongqing.
Companies are requested to sign a ‘letter of commitment’ and provide a £250 fee which will be refunded upon completion of the market visit.
