Specific details of requirements

The People's Republic of China has received a loan rom the Asian Development Bank towards the cost of Loan No. 1918: Southern Sichuan Roads Development Project and it intends that part of the proceeds of this loan will be applied to eligible payments under the contract for which this Invitation for Bids is issued.

Bidders are free to bid for one lot or a both lots.

To purchase the Bidding Document in English, eligible bidders should:

1. write to the address below

2. pay a nonrefundable fee of RMB2,000 or USD250 for each set of Bidding Document. The method of payment will by cash, check or direct deposit. The Document will be set by registered mail. For an additional fee of RMB100 (domestic) or USD50 (international), the documents may be sent by courier services

3. domestic bidders or domestic joint ventures must submit a valid contracting certificate for Commnunications, Monitoring and Toll Collection System of Road Traffic Engineering issued by the Ministry of Construction, People's Republic of China.

4. Bidders should deliver their bids to the address below; at or before 10:00 am (Beijing time) on 23 August 2007; together with Bid Security of RMB800,000 for each contract or an equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency.
