Are you currently doing business with China or are you planning to do so?
Would you like to make your company more competitive in the Chinese market?
If so, join emita in partnership with the East Midlands-China Business Bureau (EMCBB) and the China-Britain Business Council (CBBC) for their next event which will give you the low down on Chinese business communication, culture and etiquette.
Taking place on Wednesday 10 February at The Village Hotel, Nottingham, this interactive evening will provide you with practical tips and advice to better understand your Chinese customer and to develop successful working relationships.
During the evening, you will:
• Learn about business communication and etiquette from both a Chinese and British perspective, including differences in business behaviour and processes
• Familiarise yourself with business Chinese and find out how to utilise this as a tool to market your company and product through interpreters, websites, social networking, PR in China etc.
• Focus on working with your Chinese customer and explore the concept of ‘face’, relationship building and how the business contract develops
The event will commence with registration and light refreshments from 5.30 pm, with the presentations beginning at 6.00 pm. The evening will draw to a close with a networking buffet to celebrate Chinese New Year - the year of the tiger.
Prior to the event, there will also be the opportunity for one-to-one meetings with representatives from both the EMCBB and the CBBC to discuss any general queries or concerns you may have in relation to doing business in this dynamic market.
