The World Bank Global Environment Fund for the East Asia Animal Husbandry Waste Management Project has allocated funds to a series of demonstration projects in Guangdong, China. Part of the funds will be used on the procurement of pig waste treatment systems for the Pig Farm Waste Treatment System construction undertaken by Taimei Animal Farming Co. Ltd in Guangdong Province. The aim to build the pig waste treatment systems is to meet up the stipulated emission standards. Companies qualified by the World Bank according to the specification set in the World Bank Procurement Guidelines are legitimate bidders. The awarded bidder is required to provide equipment and construction services for the project.
