The British Pig Association will be taking a group of UK businesses to IMS (International Meat Secretariat) World Pork Congress with UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) support via the Tradeshow Access Programme (TAP).
China is a large meat producer, accounting for 29 percent of the global total, with pork production being 49 percent of the world’s total output. The potential market in China has attracted a great deal of attention form meat industry experts, producers and traders across the world. The Fourth IMS World Pork Conference is the world’s largest meat industry event, and is the first of its kind to be held in Asia. Around 1,000 companies are expected to display technology and products related to every aspect of the meat industry, including meat processing machinery and equipment, additives and ingredients, packaging meat processing techniques and research achievements. About 300 companies will come from overseas, including the United States, Germany, Ireland and Australia.

Applications for support need to be submitted to the British Pig Association 8 weeks prior to the event start date. The British Pig Association clears your application with your local International Trade Adviser and submits it to UKTI.
