Green Building Design Solutions Seminar Mission to Chengdu and Chongqing

On 12 May 2008 a massive earthquake devastated much of Sichuan province. Many towns and cities in Sichuan need to be rebuilt. In addition, local and regional Governments now have compulsory energy efficiency targets. The Chinese Government are fully aware of the UK’s capability in green building techniques. Local developers are interested in green design, but lack critical experience. This mission will show the UK’s capability in green design techniques; help communities in Sichuan to rebuild using sustainable design; & help Chongqing meet its aspiration to be a model green and sustainable city.
