The company is currently manufacturing SUVs, Pickups and compact cars at 2 factories in Zhejiang province (to the south of Shanghai). Their new plant in Taizhou was put into use in May 2006. It has produced 6,000 SUVs so far, using 4 engine variants (1.6l,1.8l, 2.0l and 2.4l). The have exported small volumes of cars to the Middle East (Syria and Egypt) and to Germany, Italy and Sweden. Cars for the EU market are supplied without engines. The European importer fits all Jonway vehicles with a Euro 4 engine and arranges European certification. Jonway Automobile are interested in possible cooperation with foreign strategic investors in order to develop new models and engines (Euro4?), setup sales networks or other methods of cooperation.
