EMTEX, in conjunction with UK Trade & Investment, are organising a mission to the Far East, to include potential countries such as China, Indonesia, Malaysia, South Korea, Thailand, Vietnam and India.

EMTEX and UK Trade & Investment will offer a package of support (subject to eligibility), including warmed up leads and new market penetration via an OMIS report, along with financial assistance for eligible companies.
The mission will be centred around Hong Kong and will provide tailored visits to the above chosen markets. With 10-12 places available, targeted businesses must engage in innovative, technical and advanced textiles and textile related products, with emphasis on the food, medical, construction, aerospace and automotive textile areas. Individual travel plans will be accommodated.

In order for your application to be considered, your business must conform to the below:

Must be an SME

Must not already have active representation or have exported to this market within the last 12 months

This must be your only application for public funds relating to this market visit (including any available from local, national or EU sources)

Your business must be located within the East Midlands

Your visit must be to develop export activity
Support is offered at £750 per company towards the costs of your visit, including flights, hotels and OMIS. The visit can potentially be tailored around 1 country or include several countries, as listed above. Commissioning an OMIS report is a requirement of the visit. £750 subvention is based on average costs of £2,000 for flights, hotels and an OMIS report.
As this trip is bespoke to your business, the costs will depend on your individual travel and research requirements.
