Event Description
This mission is aimed specifically at Furniture Designers. It takes place March 15 - 20 2009 and is going to Guangzhou / Dongguan/ Shenzhen / Hong Kong. It is timed to coincide with The China International Furniture Fair (CIFF) 2009 in Guangzhou which is the largest furniture event in Asia.

China overtook Italy as the largest furniture exporter in 2005 and accounts for 17% of the total furniture of the world market. There are some 50,000 furniture manufacturers in China. The average annual growth rate is 15%.

Guangdong is China's largest furniture production center and distributing base.

This mission is focused on both home and contract furniture as well as interior accessories.

During the same week, there will be an International Famous Furniture Fair in Dongguan and a Shenzhen International Furniture Exhibition (SIFE) in Shenzhen. Both cities are within a two-hour drive from Guangzhou. The Dongguan event can provide you with access to the Hong Kong and Taiwan furniture brands, and the Shenzhen exhibition will have an additional element of South East Asia exhibitors and global high-end home accessories. The mission will visit both events.
