This Invitation for bids is in respect of the purchasing notification, which was published in the Daily Bulletin of United Nations on January 29, 2007 and numbered 29814120.
1. The People’s Republic of China has received a loan from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) toward the cost of the Second Guangdong Pearl River Delta Urban Environment Project (PRD II) and intends to apply part of the proceeds of this loan to payments of Foshan Nanzhuang Sludge Treatment Center(contract no. FSST/G1.1). To construct a 400m3/d centralized sludge treatment facility in Nanzhuang.
2.CMC International Tendering Corporation and GMG International Tendering Company (The Tendering Company) as the procurement agent, for and on behalf of Foshan Water Group Company, Ltd (The Employer) now invite sealed bids from eligible bidders for the design, supply and installation of Foshan Nangzhuang sludge treatment center. International competitive bidding will be conducted in accordance with the Banks "Two-Stage" Bidding Procedure.
3.According to the below address, interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from the GMG International Tendering Company and inspect the bidding documents at the Company from July, 13, 2009 between 9:00 and 16:00 (Beijing Time, except public holidays).
4. A complete set of the bidding document in English may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of RMBY2000. The fee can be paid in cash or in check. The bidding document will be provided in the form of a printed book.
5. The provision of the Instructions to Bidders and the General Conditions of Contract have been prepared according the Standard Bidding Document from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD): Standard Bidding Document for Procurement of Plant Design, Supply, and Installation, published by April, 2008.
6.Sealed bids must be delivered to the GMG International Tendering Company by 9:30 September 1, 2009 (Beijing Time) and be clearly marked "Application to bid Design and Build of Foshan Nanzhuang Sludge Treatment Center under Foshan Sludge Component of PRD II(contract number:FSST/G1.1)". The bids will be opened in public, in the presence of any bidders who choose to attend, at 9:30, on September 1,2009 (Beijing Time).
