China's creative sector is one of the fastest growing in the world. With an increasing number of Chinese companies
expanding into overseas markets and strong consumer needs, there are great opportunities for UK companies specialising
in industrial design and other areas driven by digital technology such as content and design management training,
advertising, branding, publishing, TV, film, animation and computer games.

As well as providing an excellent networking opportunity, this workshop aims to introduce you to the characteristics of the
market and the potential for your business in China. It will also provide you with practical advice on how to explore what
China offers as well as highlighting the expert support available from UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) and the East
Midlands China Business Bureau.

Keynote speaker
We are proud to announce that our keynote speaker at this event will be Karen Cheng: Trade Investment Manager, Creative Industries Sector Lead for China, UK Trade Investment, British Embassy, Beijing, China.

Karen leads the China creative team for UKTI and has delivered many events in the creative industries sector to support UK companies who wish to trade in China. She has a broad and solid experience in helping UK companies in design, advertising, branding, TV, Film, animation, publishing and the digital sector.

Karen has worked with UKTI since 2002. Previous to that, she worked with Marconi Communication Ltd. both in the UK and China in commercial and a Chinese Multinational Companies in China and Kenya. She is an MBA graduate of Leicester University.
