Event Description
Over December 3-5, 2008 more than 300 of the world’s leading investors at the forefront of the cleantech investment category – representing over $3 trillion in capital – together with entrepreneurs, scientists and policy–makers, will convene in Shanghai for Cleantech Forum 2008.

China’s economic engine continues running at a remarkable pace. The standard of living, for hundreds of millions, continues to improve. Exports enabling many of the world economies continue to increase. The energy, water, and resource consumption required to feed these trends are growing much faster than ever predicted, while resource constraints and pollution concerns are escalating rapidly. As environmental requirements and related government and economic incentives expand in China, an unprecedented opportunity for clean technology products and services is unfolding – for both local and international companies. In order to successfully capitalize on this significant cleantech opportunity, stakeholders must understand the unique market dynamics in China and be equipped with the tools and knowledge to effectively navigate the space. The Cleantech Forum 08 - Shanghai will explore what distinguishes a “recipe for success” in China by convening the most involved and influential local and global leaders in cleantech.
