China's status as 'shop floor of the world' is undisputed. Is it all doom and gloom for UK companies or can China's success be turned into an opportunity? Many UK companies have already given consideration to how they can benefit from the world's fastest growing economy, but market entry still appears daunting and key information is difficult to come by. The situation is made more complex by a Chinese operating environment which is subject to constant change and adjustment. And what should we make of the opportunities and threats arising from the growing trend in outbound investment from China? This seminar attempts to tackle the question 'China: What's in it for us?' by examining a broad range of market entry options, assessing the potential benefits and paying attention to some key business concerns, such as intellectual property.
