Following the earthquake measuring 8 on the Richter scale in China's Sichuan Province, the Chinese Government has produced a list of materials that are in short supply and needed urgently. This list is regularly updated and posted on various Ministry websites.

Products/Service Required
The Chinese Government's current top priority is to provide tents for those people displaced from affected areas. There is an urgent need for suppliers that currently have stock or can produce tents that are able to be rapidly transported to Sichuan Province. Various organisations, including the Chinese Government and Chinese Red Cross, are interested in purchasing these tents.

Requirements
All tents should meet SPHERE standards
Relief tents - winterised 4x4 Family Tents, double fold, double fly complying to SPHERE standards.

British companies that are able to supply tents should contact the Ministry of Civil Affairs or Chinese Red Cross. It would be preferable if you contacted them in Chinese.
