British Chambers of Commerce National Trade Delegation to China
29th March --8th April 2008 (Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou & Xian)
Summary of Programme and Itinerary
This is the first national BCC Trade Delegation ever to visit the Peoples’ Republic of China, led by the President of the British Chambers of Commerce, Mr. Peter Mileham.
The delegation will consist of senior executives of the national Chamber organisation and local Chambers and members of Chambers across the UK, estimated to be between 30 – 40 delegates.
It is open to all sectors.
The delegation will be hosted by the Chinese national chamber, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (China Chamber of International Commerce), with whom members of the BCC network have worked closely. At the national level BCC has entered into intensive dialogues since last year for a closer working partnership.
The visit will aim to agree a framework of partnership between BCC and the Network and the national Chamber of China and to explore areas BCC can work with China to support its network and member business in the China market and vice verse for CCPIT members in the UK market.
This visit is the first of three key events between the BCC and its Network and CCPIT in April 2008. The other two being a UK-China Investment Forum at the CCPIT “Going Abroad” Outbound Investment Conference (Beijing) and a UK-China Business Match-making Event at the BCC Annual Conference being held in Liverpool.
