Traditional drum brakes have been applied on most vehicles in the automotive industry of China for a long time. However, it has some disadvantages. In order to upgrade the automotive brake technologies in parallel with the global level in terms of design, manufacture and application, CAFF plans to introduce the air disk brake, which is proved to have better performance.
Main target markets include: Chongqing Hongyuan, FAW, Dongfeng Motor, CNHTC, Shanghai Heavy Vehicle and Xiangfan Axle. It would raise turnover RMB 260 million and profit RMB 28 million.
Marketing research, part drawing design and samples have been finished, and now the development has been submitted to municipal economic committee of Chongqing to apply for the new product innovation special fund, now this project has gained the funds special for small & medium enterprise development from National Ministry of Finance and National Development & Reform Commission.
According to an authoritative estimate from the state automotive organization, the demand for air disc brake would reach up to about 200,000 sets in this year. In assumption of effective investment input to this project for its production capability improvement in just time, the annual sales revenue of air disc brake is expected to arrive at 1000 million RMB.
