TAECO-Taikoo (Xiamen) Aircraft Engineering Company Limited is located in the Gaoqi international Airport in Xiamen, the shareholders include Hong Kong Aircraft Engineering Co. Ltd. (56.55%), Xiamen Aviation Industry Co, Ltd. (10.00%), Cathay Pacific Airways (9.09%), Japan Airlines (9.09%), Boeing Commercial Aeroplane Group (9.09%) and Beijing Kailan Aviation Technology Development and Service Co. (4.18%) and Hong Kong Kin Kuen Development Co., Ltd (2%).
Base Maintenance:
TAECO started to provide Base Maintenance services since 21 March 1996. Currently we have four hangars which could house eight wide body aircraft and three narrow body aircraft simultaneously. Each wide body hangar bay is equipped with full fuselage and wing docking system. TAECO is also equipped with workshops for NDT inspection, Machining, Heat Treatment, Welding, Plating, Painting, Sheet metal, Cabin equipment repair, Composite material repair and carpet cutting. TAECO has also got a standard laboratory for calibration. The target is to provide a one-stop shop for Airlines.
Line Maintenance :
TAECO has established Line Maintenance capability in Xiamen, Shanghai and Beijing. AOG support is jointly provided by Base Maintenance of TAECO and Line Maintenance of our sister companies HAECO and STAECO.
Cargo Conversion :
With the Boeing STC, TAECO converts the B747-200/300/400 Passenger aircraft into Freighter. We have also developed our capability with PEMCO to convert the B737-200/300 Passenger aircraft into Freighter.
Part Manufacturing:
TAECO has developed our capability of part manufacturing to fulfill the requirements of company’s rapid growth in cargo conversion and it is our plan to provide a competitive manufacturing service to more third party customers around the world.
Component Service:
TAECO has in-house component overhaul capability through its Joint Venture with OEM, including Goodrich and Honeywell. Through the family tree of HAECO, further component overhaul capabilities is available through HAECO's Joint Venture: IN-Services Asia and EADS.
Fleet Technical Management :
TAECO has developed our capability in comprehensive Fleet Technical Management (FTM) service to Airlines on a tailor-made basis, which include Airline Engineering, Airlines Inventory Technical Management (ITM) and Component Asset Management Program (CAMP).
Development Prospect
TAECO has gained a reputation in the MRO industry for high quality maintenance, reasonable price and competitive turnaround time. TAECO is looking for further expansion and has determined to become the largest maintenance and modification center in Asia-pacific region.
